Get Your Tweens to READ!

Personalized Photo Books
As children become “tweens” it is a challenge to keep them reading for pleasure. There are too many friends and activities competing for their time. We have taken this into account when introducing Pop Star personalized photo book perfect for tweens and targets their interest of music. Tweens and music go hand in hand these days so we decided that this personalized photo book would hit the spot and ignite a passion for reading in the tween community.
Tweens usually imagine themselves as world famous pop stars or just becoming famous, and now kids can see their similar imaginings in physical form. Each book, personalized with your child’s photo, tells the story of how they become famous by way of the Miracle Microphone. They embark on a journey through the talent show, watch their video become a hit and see their single top the charts!
We believe that our children’s personalized books will enhance a child’s reading experience, promote literacy, and build self-esteem all at the same time. So if you have that tween that just won’t pick up a book we encourage you to check out our Pop Star photo book personalized with their picture, hometown, and their favorite band or singer.  Then sit back and watch their reaction as they read about themselves becoming a famous Pop Star!

Ways To Keep Kids Busy During the Holiday Break

As the holiday season is now over and the kids are at home on break, it can get a little hectic for parents. The appeal of new holiday toys will wear off by the second and third day after Christmas and if you have more than one in the house they will get on each other’s nerves.  Parents say “What Do I Do?”

Well we have compiled a list of things to do to keep your kids busy and out of your hair!

1. Un-Decorate the House

  • The decorations have to come down so you might as well get the kids to help you.  Involve all the kids the younger ones and older ones.  Give them appropriate tasks – smaller children can take down the ornaments at the lower part of the tree,  the older ones on the top, pick up and carry boxes.  Better yet make a competition of it!  See who can take down the most ornaments in 3 minutes or who can pack everything away the fastest.  Not only does it make it fun for them you get your un-decorating tasks done faster!
2. Purge any Old Toys and Clothes to bring in the NEW
  • As most can attest your children simply have too many toys.  Perfect time to get the kids to look through their toys and see if there is anything broken or have missing pieces that can be tossed out.  They can go through toys that they are no longer playing with and teach them to be charitable at the same time.  They can donate to less fortunate children, a childcare center or shelter.  It helps them keep busy while cleaning and helping others.  You can’t get better than that!
3. Write Gift Thank-You Notes
  • They can write their notes all at once or over the course of several days.  What would be even better if they take a picture of their gift and send the note via snail mail or electronically.  You can even top that suggestion with a video of them saying thank you featured with their gift, which will create even more excitement for the kids and bring a smile to the gift giver.
4. Let the Kids Go Outside
  • Bottled up in the house will make them go crazy.  Yes it’s cold in some parts of the United States or snowy but let them go outside.  Kids are okay as long as they are bundled up and if it’s snowing, even better.  The endless possibilities of games and things to do in the snow is unbelievable.  If it’s warmer where you are located hiking, biking or even visiting the park can give them and yourself a break too.
5. READ
Personalized Books
Personalized Books

  • Take time and read with your kids.  If they are older set apart some time in the day where everyone drops everything and read.  If they got new books for the holidays they can start reading those or visit the local library and pick up some books. Kids usually don’t want anything associated with school and reading is one of them but make it fun and interactive.  Act out character voices, dress the part, or make a play from the story.  The goal is to get them excited about reading.
How can I get them excited about reading you say?  We can help in this area.  We have personalized kids books where children become the star of their very own story which will get them excited about reading.  Our kids books far outweigh traditional books because children read about themselves and not about others in the stories.  Our books range from birth to about 12 years of age and we have books for both boys and girls.  Check out our large library at www.KDNovelties.com.

Personalized Potty Hero Book Can Help Children Overcome Milestones

Potty Hero Personalized Book
Potty Hero Personalized Book

Reading has proven to help children in many areas of their developing lives. Not only does it promote literacy and future learning, but it has shown to aid kids when approaching major milestones in their young lives.  Just released is a new Potty Hero personalized book that helps kids ease into potty training by showing how their book persona can heroically save the day and be a big kid.  By inserting kids’ faces into their own personalized books, they can more easily see themselves accomplishing the great things they read about in books and see in the programs they watch.  This not only allows kids to better imagine themselves as great, but helps makes these ideas a reality, helping boost their self-esteem and instilling a positive self-image.  Kids face a lot of big changes in a small span of time: potty training, preschool, learning to read and write, all major things that they will use later in life to be successful.  Using books, especially personalized photo books, can help familiarize children with these big steps and help them better imagine themselves overcoming them with ease.

Studies show that when reading about the personal milestone a child is facing, can enhance the learning process, and making it personalized will captivate children in wanting to learn because they become the STAR of their very own potty training story.
